Project Overview

The Center for Technology and Behavioral Health at Dartmouth College (www.c4tbh.org) launched an implementation research project (in collaboration with Pontificia Universidad Javeriana) in 2016 to increase access to science-based mental health care in primary care systems in Colombia. This research and capacity-building project, funded by the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health, is designed to evaluate evidence-based models of mental health care, including mobile health interventions for mental health, in diverse primary care settings in Colombia. In Summer 2019, a GHI Intern will assist the CTBH in the implementation of the novel mental health care model in the primary care pilot site (Javesalud) in Bogotá, Colombia.  Internship activities will include assisting with implementation of a mental health screener, tracking implementation process and outcome measures and assisting with collection of patient outcomes (quantitative and qualitative).  The intern will work closely with onsite research team from Javeriana as well as Dartmouth research team.
